Yeah, out of all the social issues that are at the front of my attention, race is near the bottom for me, so I admit that I didn't think of that. Part of my own privilege of passing as white, I suppose. But that is a very good point and a legitimate problem with the story line.
I had some other issues with the movie too, which I won't go into unless someone wants spoilers, so it is by no means a "perfect" movie. But evaluating it purely from a poly standpoint, I would say it was good. From other viewpoints, it was problematic, but the polyamory was handled well enough (not perfectly) that I at least enjoyed the movie even with my quibbles about it :-)
